  • Hourly Rate: $55.24 + Super
  • Contract Length: until end of December 2026; Full time hours
  • Location: Geelong OR Richmond
  • Australian Citizenship is required


The Role

The APS5 Project Officer is a team membership position responsible for organising their own workflow and making independent decisions within their area of responsibility. You will perform a variety of procedural, administrative, and operational tasks that contribute directly to the organisation's strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Project Coordination: Assisting in project management activities and monitoring program progress against established plans.
  • Planning & Scheduling: Contributing to the development and management of project plans in accordance with established frameworks.
  • Written Communication: Drafting a range of material including business cases, plans, executive briefs, and corporate documentation.
  • Research & Analysis: Performing research work and contributing to reports on project activities.
  • Financial & Risk Support: Assisting with budget monitoring, expenditure reporting, procurement, and the identification of project risks.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Liaising with internal and external stakeholders to provide advice and resolve moderately complex enquiries.

Skills & Knowledge Required
  • Analytical Ability: Capability to analyse complex problems and develop effective solutions.
  • Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with team members and stakeholders.
  • Organisation: Adeptness in planning action plans, setting priorities, and leveraging resources to meet deadlines.
  • Judgement: Capability to exercise initiative and sound judgement when interpreting legislation and policy.
  • Technical Expertise: Competence in using Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant tools for scheduling and document preparation.
  • Proven experience in an administrative role, preferably within a government or large organisational setting, is desirable.
